Deep Cleaning Your Bathroom
Your bathroom is a playground for dirt and bacteria. This room sees a lot of traffic, so regular deep cleaning is important. Deep clean your bathroom every few months using these tips!
Shower Cleaning
Place a plastic grocery bag around the showerhead. Once the bag is secured, pour white vinegar into the bag so that the showerhead is submerged. Leave the showerhead soaking overnight. In the morning, remove the vinegar bag and wipe the showerhead down with water.
Mix a few drops of white vinegar with a cup of baking soda. Once mixed together and paste-like, spread the mixture over the door. Let the paste sit for an hour, then wipe off with a cloth (use water if needed).
Spray all-purpose cleaner on the shower walls. Next, turn the shower on and wait until the hot water steam begins to build. Once the shower is filled with steam, turn the shower off and shut the shower door. After the steam and cleaner sit on the shower walls for 20 minutes, wipe off with a wet cloth.
Toilet Cleaning
Pour a cup of baking soda into the bowl, let sit for five minutes and then brush the sides of the toilet.
It is important to clean your toilet brush after every use. To clean, hold your toilet brush over the toilet and pour bleach on the bristles. Let the bleach sit for five minutes then rinse with water.
Tile Cleaning
Use bleach and a grout brush to scrub discolored grout areas. Grout is especially susceptible to bacteria growth; therefore, reseal grout every six months to prevent moisture from soaking underneath the tile.
Sink Cleaning
Pour white vinegar and flush with hot water. Wipe your faucet down with disinfecting wipes.
