Warmer Weather is Mosquito Weather
With warmer weather approaching, you are probably starting to think about ways you can keep your yard green this summer. Watering your yard is effective; however, it comes with some “side effects” such as mosquitoes. These pesky little bugs can keep your arms and legs itchy all summer if not controlled.
Most mosquitoes like to hang around after a fresh rain or right after the sprinklers turn off. They really thrive in humid temperatures between 50-95 degrees F. Since they are so fond of humid temperatures, mosquitoes typically breed in stagnant water. One way to keep them away is to make sure your yard’s irrigation is functioning properly so you don’t have any standing puddles of water.
